The Ethnological Territorial Museum
“Situated in a strategic position for trade exchange an located in a
territory made fertile by the Uso and Marecchia rivers, it has always been
inhabited by people with a great capacity as artisans and with very
creative minds. Santarcangelo
di Romagna
has always been a reference point for the
development of agriculture and handcraft activities. The MET, Ethnological
Territorial Museum, located in a lovely building built in 1924, comes from
the patient work of collecting and researching for objects and evidence of
popular traditions connected to a rural civilisation that has now
disappeared. The layout of exposition offers evidence and working tools
divided into various sections: Working the Land, The Cycle of Wheat, The
Flour Mill, The Cycle of Linen, Printing on Cloth, The Blacksmith, The Lute
Marker. What’s more, for several years now, the Museum promotes Didactic
activities and study Conferences on Popular Tradition.”
