Missionary Museum

At the moment closed for restoration – the “Dinz Rialto” Non-European Civilization Museum’s collections will be exhibit here - the Missionary Museum, in Palace Alvarado, annexed to the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie in Covignano, exhibits precious finds, among which there are bronze statuettes representing Buddha and ivories from China, masks, javelins, arrows and adornments form Papua New Guinea, which testify the presence all over the world of the Franciscans from the Emilia-Romagna Region. There are also Pre-Columbian archaeological finds, a Crucifix belonging to the fourteenth century Rimini school, paintings by Reni, Guercino and Correggio and works of art by famous contemporary artists.
