Palazzo Garampi

Palazzo Garampi, which opens on Piazza Cavour, was commissioned by Ludovico Carducci in 1562. Collapsed in the wake of the earthquake that severely damaged Rimini in 1672, Palazzo Garampi was rebuilt in 1679 by Francesco Garampi and later named after him. Destroyed again in 1944 by the carpet bombings which hit the city of Rimini, Palazzo Garampi has been restored to its previous magnificence in the post-war period. It presents a beautiful arcade and a piano nobile (second floor) with two noteworthy balconies.
