MONUMENTS PROVINCE OF RIMINIMONUMENTS RIMINIThe Fish-MarketThe old Fish-Market is probably the most picturesque place in Rimini. This ancient and beautiful Fish-Market, whose entrance opens on Piazza Cavour (Historical centre), in front of the Palazzo dell’Arengo, the heart of the city, was built in 1747 to a plan by the Rimini architect Gianfrancesco Buonamici. On the four corners of the old Fish-Market it is possible to admire four small dolphin-shaped statues, while in the interior, once meeting-place of the inhabitants of Rimini, there are beautiful and spacious marble benches. In the hold Fish-Market are held numerous arts and crafts street-markets.
