Church of the Servites

The Church of the Servites, known as I Servi, built about 1317, underwent a process of renewal between 1777 and 1779 to the plans of the Bolognese architect Gaetano Stegani. It was embellished by Antonio Trentanove with valuable rococo stucco decorations, which were delightfully gilded in 1887. The aisleless Church of the Servites preserves precious paintings by the noteworthy artists Giovanni Battista Costa (1440), Lucio Massari (1620), Francesco Albani (1621) and Ubaldo Gandolfi (1779).
